(Not Two But) A Whole Buttload of Chairs

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Heh. Chairs. Buttload. Get it?

Yeah, anyway, why carry two broken chairs when you can carry a veritable smorgasbord of chairs that are actually usable when you get where you’re going?

Incidentally, I just learned how to spell smorgasbord.

(Not One But) Two Chairs

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

I’m not sure how effective these chairs are without any bottoms to them, but I guess it makes them easier to carry on a motorcycle. Everything’s a tradeoff.

Motorfridgecycle

Friday, April 24th, 2009

On second thought, screw bicycling entirely–that’s way too much work.

I’ll take my fridge on a motorcycle, thank you very much.

Fridgecycle

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Screw water bottles–when I go for a challenging bicycle ride on a hot day, I want my beverages COLD.

This guy knows what I mean.

Reduce – Reuse – Re(motor)cycle

Happy Earth Day, kids.

Here’s a friendly reminder that not owning  a giant truck is no excuse for not recycling a giant truckload of crap.

(Not One or Two But) Four Tires

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

We’ve seen one tire on a bike, and even two tires. Kudos to this gentleman for raising the bar by two whole notches.

The Other White Passenger

Easter has come and gone, but our friends on two wheels in Asia know it’s never too late to eat a ham…or ride with a few, for that matter.

Have Ficus, Will Travel

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

I’m not really into riding motorcycles for the thrill–I just enjoy the fresh air and the nature. From now on, I think I’m going to follow Andrea’s lead and carry a tree with me wherever I go.

A New Kind of Bi(ke)plane

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Evidently, the owner of this motorcycle installed this contraption to make riding his bike feel more like piloting an airplane.

According to Katherine B., who submitted these mind-boggling photos she took in 2002, “he rides very smoothly, despite the fact that he operates the brake, clutch, and throttle using the ropes and pulleys you can see on the handlebars.”

As for the epic cargo cage on the back, apparently “he’s always prepared–he brings everything he might need, everywhere he goes. He believes that putting all that weight on the back improves the handling.”

Diff’rent strokes for diff’rent folks, I suppose.
